☆ Raised a Midwestern farm boy, Milo has good manners, and believes in hard work and looking out for others. Despite his politeness, though, he tends to swear a lot.

☆ Easygoing and relaxed, it's difficult to make Milo angry, and even when he is, he tends to be pretty subdued and logical.

☆ Milo is also educated, having received money from his estranged father to go to college. However, after studying economics, he realized that the US economy is a complete racket, and denounced capitalism entirely and rather loudly.

☆ He prefers to work for himself. Milo values living off the land, as well as keeping and spending as little money as humanly possible. He lives in a camper trailer and does odd jobs and freelance work for a living.

history

Milo was born in 1993 to Morgan Fields and Arthur Pierce. He was unfortunately the child of an affair --- his father, married with children to Bethany Pierce, reconnected with a high school friend and crush, the one who got away. Arthur could not be compelled to leave his loveless marriage for the sake of his children, and the two agreed to spend one night together, resulting in a happy accident--- Milo.

While Arthur kept contact when he was able, Morgan primarily raised Milo with the help of her parents and brother on her family's farm. However, a tragic accident led to Morgan's untimely death, and Arthur requested that Milo come live with him, since his children with Bethany were now grown.

Bethany Pierce had always been a difficult woman, but with no children around and the product of her husband's affair now in her home, she became outright abusive to her would-be stepson, and without young kids to think of anymore, Arthur had seen enough. He divorced Bethany and got Milo out of there. It was now just him and his 14 year old son, living in an apartment in the city.

The reason for their small quarters, though, was in large part because Arthur did not believe in wasting, something he instilled in Milo. He actually had a decent job, and paid to send Milo to school. Milo attended a private high school and went on to study economics at the Ohio State University, graduating with a bachelor's degree in 2016. However, his time studying economics did not steer him towards a career--- instead, it revealed to him all the flaws and exploitation in the US economy. Between his upbringing, first as a farmer with his mother, then as a DIY conservationist with his father, and his college experience, Milo had nothing but resentment for a system that takes advantage of people for profit.

Using the money he'd obtained from inheritance from his mother and grandparents, as well as some help from his dad and a summer working in construction, Milo managed to put together the money to buy himself a large van with a tow hitch, a camper trailer, and everything he would need to live completely off the grid. He has embraced a freegan lifestyle, flipping cheap or scavenged furniture for a profit and living off the land as well as his own talents. The only bills he pays are his fees for his lot and utility usage at his camp site, and his student loans. He speaks emphatically about his hatred of capitalism.

One night, however, Milo ended up in the wrong place at the wrong time, and encountered a rip in the fabric of reality, causing him to become afflicted with Void Touch. The strange mark on his left arm allows him to shapeshift that arm into anything. But the mark is growing and has already encroached on his neck and shoulder. Who knows what will happen if it is allowed to continue?
